An Australian tourist has gone missing in the Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe.

According to the parks authority of Zimbabwe, a tourist from Australia is currently unaccounted for in Victoria Falls National Park, which is known for being home to one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.

According to Tinashe Farawo, a representative for the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, a tourist disappeared in the expansive rainforest on Friday.

According to Farawo, our team, which also involves the police, is actively searching for the missing tourist. We have utilized sniffer dogs, drones, and trackers on the field. The tourist’s age was reported as 67, but no additional information was disclosed by the authority.

It is uncommon for such events to occur in Victoria Falls, a popular tourist spot known for its magnificent waterfall which drops over 108 meters (350 feet) from the Zambezi River into a gorge below. The mist created by the waterfall can be seen from a distance, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Several incidents have been documented in different parks. In October of last year, a German visitor who was reported missing in Matusadona National Park, located in northern Zimbabwe, was discovered alive and in good condition three days later.
