Tory Member of Parliament David Davis stands up for a homeless man who is being attacked by others.

The Member of Parliament for the Conservative party, David Davis, has shared his experience of defending himself against an assault near the government building. He had stepped in to assist a homeless person who was being physically assaulted.

Davis, a previous member of the cabinet and candidate for leadership, stated that he boldly positioned himself between the assailants and the homeless individual, successfully avoiding two physical blows.

After physically removing the main attacker, he brought Gareth, the victim, to his apartment in Westminster and allowed him to stay the night on the couch.

The following day, he brought Gareth to St. Thomas’ Hospital due to continued bleeding.

Davis, who was accompanied by former Downing Street communications adviser Guto Harri, witnessed a violent incident on Great Peter Street. He stated, “I intervened between the two parties as Guto and I were walking towards Victoria. Two individuals were physically attacking another person, and I observed one of them kick the victim in the head, causing a spray of blood in a dramatic manner.”

“I didn’t intentionally consider my actions, I acted impulsively. I was assertive in confronting the attackers and intervened to help the other person. One of the attackers retreated while the other was momentarily stunned by my aggressive approach. However, he quickly regained his composure and attempted to hit me twice, but I was able to subdue him without getting harmed.”

“Afterwards, I departed from their company and brought the injured individual back to my home in order to tend to his wounds. He was heavily bleeding and required cleaning… The following day, the bleeding persisted, prompting me to call for an Uber and take him to the emergency room.”

The Evening Standard initially reported the incident on Tuesday.

Davis, who underwent training with the SAS before joining parliament, stated that it seemed the assailants were extremely brutal and had an addiction to the drug spice.

The Member of Parliament stated that he had previously intervened in conflicts due to a past incident where a man was killed on a common in south London, close to his residence, after being assaulted.

“Since then, I have never been able to walk away from a confrontation like this. I have endured broken bones and teeth in the past, but this time I came out unscathed, so I am okay,” he stated.
