The police are requesting any relevant details regarding a deadly car accident on the M62 where the vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction.
At 2:06am on Saturday, the West Yorkshire police were alerted about a Vauxhall Corsa driving in the opposite direction on the motorway’s eastbound lane.
However, when the officers were deployed to find the car, they discovered that it had crashed into a VW Golf near Scammonden Bridge.
The male driver operating the Corsa was declared deceased at the location, while the male driver operating the Golf sustained severe injuries and was taken to a medical center for additional care.
Officials shut down both sides of the road between exits 22 and 24 for the majority of Saturday morning.
The team in charge of investigating the major collision is requesting witnesses to come forward and share any relevant information.
