Nigel Farage has made a surprise announcement that he is to stand as a Reform UK candidate in the general election after all.
The U-turn comes after Farage had said last month that he would not stand for the party he once led – when it was still the Brexit party – after weeks of speculation that he would make an eighth attempt to enter parliament.
He will stand in the Essex constituency of Clacton.
