Andy Murray’s determination was recognized at the Miami Open as he fought through a difficult first-round match against Matteo Berrettini, ultimately winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 after losing the first set. This was only Murray’s fourth victory of the year and he will now face Tomás Martín Etcheverry in the second round.
As the second set began, Berrettini experienced a moment of instability and almost fell to his right before expressing dizziness. The doctor and physio promptly attended to him, but even though he was cleared to continue playing, he was unable to replicate his previous level of performance.
