Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs refutes recent rape accusation: ‘I will defend my reputation’

The rapper known as Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, has been accused of rape once again in a recent lawsuit. A woman claims that Combs and two other men sexually assaulted her when she was only 17 years old, almost 20 years ago.

The latest legal action is the fourth one brought against Combs in the past few weeks. He is facing allegations of sexual assault from multiple women, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura. Combs and Ventura reached a settlement for her lawsuit on the same day it was filed, to their mutual agreement.

According to a complaint filed on Wednesday in New York federal court, a woman identified as Jane Doe states that while she was in high school, she was “gang raped” and “sex trafficked” by Combs and two other individuals. She made these claims in the latest filings.

In 2003, the woman recalls meeting Combs and Harve Pierre, the president of Bad Boy Records, at a lounge in the Detroit area. According to her, Pierre persuaded her to join him, another man, and a group member on a private jet to return to Combs’s recording studio in New York.

According to the lawsuit, before going to Combs’s studio, Pierre instructed the woman to accompany him to a bathroom in the lounge. While in the bathroom, Pierre is accused of smoking crack cocaine and then coercing the woman into performing oral sex on him.

According to the lawsuit, when they arrived at Combs’s studio in New York, Combs, Pierre, and another individual provided Ms. Doe with drugs and alcohol.

The document stated that Ms Doe, who was 17 years old, became increasingly intoxicated to the extent that she was unable to give consent for sexual activity with anyone, especially someone twice her age.

The woman stated that Combs instructed her to go with him to a bathroom at the studio. Allegedly, Combs proceeded to take off her skirt and underwear and sexually assault her.

According to the complaint, the woman stated that she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was in a state of semi-consciousness during the reported assault. She alleged that at some point, Combs left and another man took his place, and proceeded to rape her while Combs remained outside the bathroom, despite her asking him to intervene.

According to her, she was eventually assisted out of the building and taken to a car because “she could hardly stand” after being subjected to a gang rape. She was then flown back to Michigan, but had little recollection of her trip home.

The legal papers also include multiple pictures of the woman, whose face has been obscured, inside what is believed to be Combs’s recording studio. One of the images shows the woman seated on Combs’s lap.

The woman stated that learning about similar lawsuits against Combs and Pierre inspired her to come forward with her own story.

Combs released a statement refuting the accusations, claiming they were made by someone seeking quick financial gain.

“I want to make it very clear that I did not commit any of the terrible actions that are being accused. I will stand up for my reputation, my loved ones, and for the truth,” Combs stated in the message, shared on X, previously known as Twitter.

All three previous lawsuits filed against Combs were made under the Adult Survivors Act, a New York state law that gave individuals a one-year window to sue those they accused of sexual assault, even if the statute of limitations has run out.

The latest submission was made under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Act in New York City. This act permits individuals who have experienced gender-based violence to take legal action against their assailants, even if the time limit has passed.
