After producing some of the most nostalgic British pop from the 1990s, Gabrielle is making a grand comeback with a fresh album and a forthcoming tour at major UK arenas. She will also be responding to your inquiries as a special celebration for these achievements.

Growing up in London, her music career took off in 1993 when she released her debut single Dreams. The song, which showcased her unique and determined singing style, reached No 2 in the UK and also gained popularity in the US. This success was followed by 10 more UK Top 10 hits, such as Give Me a Little More Time, a soulful track reminiscent of classic Motown music; If You Ever, a 90s breakup duet with East 17 that showcased Gabrielle’s heartfelt delivery; and Out of Reach, a powerful ballad featured on the Bridget Jones’s Diary soundtrack. In 2000, she achieved her first No 1 hit with Rise, which included a chord sequence from Bob Dylan’s Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door with his permission.

Following a lengthy hiatus from the industry after her fifth album Always was released in 2007, she made a comeback in 2018 and has since regained her popularity. Her appearance on The Masked Singer and the success of her latest album Do It Again, which reached the UK Top 5, have contributed to her resurgence. She was also mentioned in a monologue by Michaela Coel in Stormzy’s song Mel Made Me Do It, with Coel referencing Gabrielle’s wise words that “dreams can come true”. Additionally, Adele has chosen her to be a supporting act for her 2022 Hyde Park concerts.

Gabrielle has secured large event spaces for the year 2025, including the O2 Arena in London. Her new album, A Place in Your Heart, will be released on May 10th. In anticipation of its release, she will be answering questions about her personal life and career. Leave your questions in the comment section before Tuesday, March 19th at 10am GMT, and we will share her responses later in the week.
