On Sunday mornings, I typically wake up at 9am and immediately go to mass at 10am. Our church is conveniently located just around the corner from our home in Forte dei Marmi on the Tuscan coast, so I often walk there. Skipping mass is not a choice as it is the Lord’s day.
What happens next? I return around noon and then we will have a family lunch. We all adhere to a strict, healthy diet – even on Sundays there are no special meals. As Italians, we have pasta, but now we use ancient grains with lower gluten content. After that, I will relax and work on my music – studying, singing, and playing piano, as I do every day.
Do you enjoy cooking? Not at all. I experimented with it in my youth, but it was never successful. Every once in a while, I’ll make a meal for friends. I can make a decent carbonara, but anything else feels like a gamble for both me and my guests.
On Sundays during my childhood, I would attend church with my grandmother and play the organ. I also enjoyed spending time with friends in the countryside and causing mischief. My most cherished memories involve pursuing romantic relationships and successfully finding love. However, finding dates was not always a simple task.
Do you have any physical activities? No, I don’t. I tend to be quite inactive and only engage in activities that I find enjoyable, which does not involve working out at the gym. However, I am a fan of football, but I prefer to watch it as a spectator. Our family supports Inter Milan and I have been a dedicated fan since I was young. Nowadays, I watch matches with my children.
What do you do to unwind? If I’m not busy, I enjoy reading or having friends over. I also have a passion for playing chess, mainly online. Although I’m not skilled, I am constantly striving to get better. On a sunny day, I might go for a ride on one of my horses.
Is it Sunday evening? I will be performing if I have a concert scheduled. As a singer, the day of the week is not important. However, if I don’t have a concert, I typically go to bed early, around 10pm. I am not a fan of staying up late. As for my pre-sleep routine, I’ll let you use your imagination.
