“I am unable to rejoice in 2023 at this time.” Jack Grealish is feeling “crushed” due to experiencing a burglary.

Jack Grealish expressed his feelings of devastation and described the burglary at his home as a “traumatic experience.” The incident occurred while the England and Manchester City midfielder was playing in his team’s Premier League game against Everton on Wednesday.

Grealish’s relatives and his partner, Sasha Atwood, were said to be watching the televised game at their home when they heard a commotion. They immediately alerted authorities and a swift emergency operation was initiated, involving a helicopter, police dogs, and several officers. Despite thorough searching, no suspects were found on the property near Knutsford.

According to reports, the robbers escaped with jewelry and watches valued at £1 million.

On Instagram, Grealish expressed his deep sadness about the burglary that occurred at his home a few days ago.

I cherish my family above all else and their safety is my top priority. The recent events have been difficult for us all, and I am thankful that no one was harmed.

“I have had numerous incredible experiences and accomplishments in the past year. However, I must admit that what was once the best year of my football career now feels like something I cannot rejoice in.”

Those who perpetrate these heinous acts are unaware of the harm they inflict upon others’ lives. I pray that they are apprehended and held accountable, sparing other families from enduring what we have.

“I am grateful for the messages and support I have received from my friends, teammates, and the club. On a brighter note, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for their support over the past year. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous 2024.”

One of Grealish’s fellow players on the England team, James Maddison, was among the first to respond to the post, commenting: “Love you, brother.”
