Bayern plans to present an enhanced proposal to Newcastle in order to assess Kieran Trippier.

It is anticipated that Bayern Munich will challenge Newcastle’s recent decision to keep Kieran Trippier by offering a better offer for the England right back under Eddie Howe’s management.

After discussing internally, Newcastle has stated that they will not accept any more bids for Trippier. However, their stance may change if they receive a significantly better offer than the one made by the Bundesliga club on Saturday for the 33-year-old.

Trippier is keen to play for Thomas Tuchel at Bayern – where he would be reunited with his friends and former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Eric Dier – but has reassured Newcastle that he does not intend to force a move through.

The situation is also true for Callum Wilson. Atlético Madrid made a loan offer for Howe’s English forward on Saturday evening, but it was quickly turned down by Newcastle. It seems that Atlético has no intention of purchasing a 32-year-old striker outright.

It appears that Wilson is more likely to stay with his current team, Newcastle, than Trippier. Although he often gets injured, he has a knack for scoring important goals for Howe’s team. Additionally, while Howe has a strong backup right-back in Tino Livramento, Wilson and Alexander Isak are the only experienced central strikers on the team. It is unimaginable that Howe would let go of Wilson without securing a suitable replacement.

Callum Wilson has eight goals in all competitions this season for Newcastle.

Due to Newcastle’s recent £400m investment in their team following a takeover by a Saudi Arabian group, the club is at risk of violating the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations. This means they are currently unable to afford a high-quality striker.

While there have been rumors, Trippier’s exit may actually make room for a new midfielder to be brought in. However, Howe still sees the right back, who was bought for £12m from Atletico Madrid two years ago, as a crucial leader on and off the field and has maintained a close relationship with him since their time together at Burnley.

The ultimate decision relies heavily on the amount that Bayern is willing to shell out for the defender. This comes after Darren Eales, Newcastle’s CEO, hinted that “every player has a price” and that Howe would have to make trades before making new acquisitions.
