The most anticipated event in the British film industry, the Bafta film awards, will take place on Sunday, February 18th. The list of nominees has already been released, with Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie, and Oppenheimer leading the pack. The nominees for the rising star award have also been announced.
Being the host of the event is a highly coveted position, with Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry having held the spot for the longest period of time, primarily in the 2000s and 2010s. However, various personalities such as Terry Wogan (without his Blankety Blank microphone on a stick), Roger Moore (with a raised eyebrow), and even Noel Edmonds (somehow) have all stepped up to the plate and shown off their DJ skills, ensuring they can read the teleprompter clearly.
