Out of Keoghan, Madden, and James Martin, who do you think would make the best James Bond if Aaron Taylor-Johnson is no longer an option?

Out of Keoghan, Madden, and James Martin, who do you think would make the best James Bond if Aaron Taylor-Johnson is no longer an option?

Just as the athletes and jockeys were parading around the starting area, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has abruptly dismounted and walked back to the locker room, thoughtfully tapping his whip against his leg. What could have caused this sudden change? Did his representative exaggerate the situation by secretly leaking contract negotiations to the media, hoping for a bigger payoff? Or did they not anticipate the other party’s reaction? It’s difficult to say. Regardless, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, who oversee the Bond franchise from their iconic Eon headquarters in Piccadilly, now have to resume their search and evaluate the crumpled and well-worn statistics once again.

Idris Elba

This would be an excellent decision for many people – Elba is a remarkable choice for the lead character, with experience in action and a strong, humorous presence. The tiresome argument about a person of color playing Bond has been resolved a decade ago, but Elba being cast may have a similarly powerful effect on Tucker Carlson as a dose of poison injected into his heart with a custom-made umbrella. Elba has implied that he is occupied with his role as Luther and humbly mentioned his age (51). However, that should not be a concern – he is in excellent physical condition. After all, Tom Cruise is currently 61 years old. This raises the question – what about…

Tom Cruise

His next mission? Tom CruiseView image in fullscreen

This announcement is quite surprising- can The Cruise pull off a British accent? Is it possible for him to do a Canadian accent? He looks fantastic in a tuxedo. However, having him play a well-known figure could be too much of a challenge, especially since he is already a legendary actor himself. He may also be too much of a gentleman and family-oriented person to portray the charming and promiscuous character, even though these traits have become less controversial recently.

Tom Hardy

Hardy possesses the qualities of ruthlessness, cruelty, and being licensed to kill and be naughty. He also exudes an old-fashioned, muscular masculinity that is often associated with the iconic character of James Bond. (Ian Fleming likely didn’t envision Bond regularly doing 200 sit-ups and chair-yoga.) It’s possible that Hardy has been considered for the role of Bond for too long and is no longer interested. However, the financial aspect could potentially influence his decision.

Rége-Jean Page

Within the younger group, we must consider Page (known for his role in Bridgerton) as a strong contender. He possesses confidence, charm, and playfulness – perhaps a James Bond for the TikTok era who can attract fans of all genders.

Theo James.

Theo James

James is a new addition to the industry, which is advantageous because it allows for more flexibility in shaping his character. He is a large, attractive individual who is physically fit. His recent appearance in the second season of The White Lotus demonstrates his ability to play the role of a villain and also effectively portray an outsider/loner persona. He can convincingly portray an agent who goes against the rules without seeking permission from Whitehall.

Richard Madden

Madden is a highly appealing and charming individual who captured the affection and admiration of viewers through his role in Jed Mercurio’s television series, The Bodyguard. As the brave officer safeguarding Keeley Hawes’ character, the home secretary, his attractive appearance added to his appeal. However, it could be argued that he is overly kind.

Henry Golding

Golding adds an irresistible charm to the role of Nick, the handsome and intelligent Malaysian-British character in Crazy Rich Asians. He effortlessly portrays the role of a wealthy and relatable man, showing that he can convincingly play a sophisticated and well-traveled individual. Like other actors, a director would need to direct his performance away from the likable nice guy persona he displays on Instagram. However, his acting is certainly believable.

Tom Hiddleston

Hiddleston embodies the typical Bond archetype – a cultured and suave Englishman who exudes charm with his tall, handsome appearance and extensive training in the highly esteemed spy academy of John le Carré. Despite his successful portrayal of a larger-than-life villain in the Marvel franchise, Hiddleston may not foresee his career following the Bond trajectory, although his experience only adds to his potential as the iconic spy.

Matt Smith

Smith could be the ideal choice for James Bond if the creators of the franchise, Broccoli and Wilson, chose to follow the suggestions of devoted fans, experts, and classic car enthusiasts and revert the series to its original 50s/60s time period as portrayed in the novels. This decision would also align with the ending of the upcoming film, No Time to Die. Having previously portrayed a young Prince Philip in The Crown, Smith’s striking appearance would fit the iconic role well. Additionally, his previous experience as Dr. Who showcases his ability to portray both humor and action, possibly appealing to the show’s passionate fan base.

Taron EgertonView image in fullscreen

Taron Egerton

Egerton would make a great Bond, as he is a skilled actor with action experience, capable of delivering a witty line after a fight. However, there is a key obstacle to consider. His role in the Kingsman movies may hinder his chance at playing Bond, as he is already associated with a similar character in the world of directors Vaughn and Ritchie. Some Bond fans may see it as casting Mike Myers in his Austin Powers costume. But anything is possible.

Barry Keoghan

Similar to Connery, Keoghan would add a sense of ruggedness to Bond and a bit of cheeky insubordination in his tense meetings with M and Q. As seen in Saltburn, he has also proven he can pull off a tuxedo, although it may need to be altered to fit the Walther PPK holster. For those who are fans of Keoghan, his role in the franchise would be a delightful addition.

James Martin

Martin, the charming and good-looking celebrity chef, previously dated Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and has openly expressed his deep love for her. His role in the franchise would add an exciting element, especially in a restaurant scene.

George Lazenby

Time for a return? George Lazenby

He has a tan. He is well rested and prepared. He is 84 years old. Many experts in the 007 field consider him to be the best current Bond, making him a daring selection for the new superspy. It would be a remarkable opportunity for him, much like Connery’s return as Bond in 1983 with Never Say Never Again, but without the need for a hairpiece. He would bring a level of maturity and humor, and also challenge age discrimination.
