“Take pleasure in it”: Emma Raducanu gives guidance to Luke Littler on dealing with success.

Emma Raducanu suggests that Luke Littler should take the time to appreciate his accomplishments and to surround himself with a close group of loved ones after making it to the final of the PDC World Darts Championship.

Raducanu advised, “Maintain a close circle, savor the moment and don’t immediately jump into the next thing.”

In the previous month, Littler, who is 16 years old, achieved a remarkable feat by winning a match at the World Darts Championship, making him the youngest player to do so. He then went on to reach the final, surprising many with his breakout performance. This was reminiscent of Raducanu, an 18-year-old British sports star, who also made headlines by becoming the first player to win a grand slam title from qualifying at the 2021 US Open.

Since winning the US Open, Raducanu has faced challenges with injuries. She had to undergo three surgeries in April to address issues with her hands and left ankle. After a nine-month break, the 21-year-old returned to the court in Auckland last week. The upcoming Australian Open will be her first major tournament since the 2020 event in Melbourne.

Raducanu stated that she did not view the game of darts, but her focus was caught by a friend who was impressed. “My friend sent me a photo of the 16-year-old boy who reached the final. Although he ultimately lost, she was amazed that he was only 16 years old,” explained Raducanu.

Raducanu will compete against Shelby Rogers, who was one of her competitors during her victorious performance in New York, in the initial round at Melbourne. Due to her break from the tour, Raducanu’s world ranking has dropped to 299.

In the meantime, Andy Murray expressed his effort to behave in a more positive manner and find enjoyment in his game. He stated, “I definitely feel like I am enjoying it more. I believe part of that is attributed to my mental approach. Tennis can be challenging in that aspect. When you’re facing difficulties and you’re alone on the court, it can be tough at times.”
